Oracle Cloud Database Administrator

Job Experience:

5+ yrs

Necessary Attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Oracle Cloud database
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Database Administration for large organisations
  • - Demonstrated skills in automation development and implementation (DEVOPS/infrastructure as code)
  • Support, administer, and maintain production, testing, and development environments.
  • Work to ensure that best practices in management of Oracle Databases in cloud systems such OCI are maintained.
  • Work to assure that targeted Service Levels for production database availability and performance are met or exceeded
  • Deploy databases in Oracle cloud using infrastructure as code tooling such as CI/CD pipelines and terraform.
  • Work with server administrators, network engineers, and Oracle product support to resolve issues and prevent downtime.
  • Follow and enforce database policies, procedures and standards, and ensure their conformance to procedures. This applies to both non-production and production systems.
